Set-up
and Team information for Participants in Robotics Park 2011 - One of the
Largest K-12 Robotics Event in the Country!
Robotics Park,
the 20th annual spring conference of the Rhode Island School of
the Future (RISF) will be held on Saturday, April 2nd at Martin Middle School in East Providence,
RI from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. See the event Schedule
for further details. Information for participants in each of the
Robotics Park activities is as follows.
For all exhibitors: First, each booth or table is strongly
encouraged to have a guest book at their booth or display and each
teacher should assign students to oversee the guest book. This means
simply that they will make the book available and ask booth visitors
to sign and comment on their robots, displays and demonstrations
in the guest book. We hope that guest books will encourage students
to get excited about demonstrating to all visitors and not just
saving their good stuff for the Robotics Park VIP's that will interview
them. In addition, each class will have this as a memento from the day and
can take some time after Robotics Park to enjoy the
things that visitors wrote.
Chain Reaction Machine (CRM) Event. Check in at the information
desk for a Robotics Park booklet with a map of the facility and
the location of the CRM event. Teams have registered for either
a 3' (half) or a 6' (full) table space and should take no more space than they requested.
A small pit area will be available for laptop computers to share.
String will be provided once each machine is set up. Each machine
should be identified by its theme (related to "Body" ),
school or organization, grade level, teacher or coach. Set-up on
